On the International Day of Women Entrepreneurship a traditional conference “Power of Women” has been held organized by Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Ministry for Human and Minority Rights. Women entrepreneurship in Montenegro is recognized as one of important conditions for the overall economic growth of Montenegro and full achievement of gender equality. The conference gathered a great number of participants not only from Montenegro but from the region as well. Various opinions and good practices were heard at the conference regarding development of women entrepreneurship, so as the challenges these women face.

Montenegro is successfully pursuing its European path, said Minister for Human and Minority Rights Mehmed Zenka in a conversation with H.E. Ferdinand Nagy Ambassador of Romania to Montenegro. Membership in large associations such as the NATO Alliance and the European Union is our first choice and we will continue with making all the efforts towards joining the European Union, the Minister said. He reconfirmed that Montenegro remains the leader of progress in the enlargement process.

Montenegro recognizes minorities as partners and friends which are integral part of its society, Zenka said, adding that minorities feel and appreciate it. Minorities are supporting the advanced ideas, the progressive path of Montenegro, but we also have to learn more about each other in Montenegro.
