In the previous two year period the Government of Montenegro has been working intensively to reduce discrimination against persons with disabilities, not only through harmonization of regulations, but also through activities that are continuously implemented through campaigns, education of all those in charge of protection against discrimination, measures have been taken to reduce discrimination of persons with disabilities in accessing information and communications through the development of the Guidelines for creating electronic documents in accordance with e-accessibility standards.

Safety and equality in exercising the rights of all citizens is a key priority of the Government of Montenegro. In this context, the exercising and protection of the rights of LGBTI persons is at the top of its agenda regarding human rights.In this regard, the Government of Montenegro at its today session adopted the second national document in the field of improving the quality of life of LGBTI persons in Montenegro 2019-2023 and the following Action Plan for 2019.
