Minister Zenka discussed co-operation on improving respect for human rights with presidents of municipalities of Žabljak and Šavnik

During the discussion it has been concluded that this serious social process, which implies numerous reforms in the system and society, should be systematically addressed in a way that will encompass all the key areas of social life and improve the social environment that guarantees the protection and respect of human rights and freedoms from the local levels. In this regard, Minister Zenka suggested that in order to achieve more visible results of cooperation, meetings and dialogue on more current issues intensify in the following period.

The speakers agreed that Montenegro was one of the crossroads of civilizations, meeting place for Orthodoxy, Catholicism, Islam and Judaism. Societies fromt such areas are often, as a rule, burdened with multiple conflicts and hardly attain the value of a civil society, which is not the case in Montenegro.It was commonly estimated that awareness of the universal value of freedom in the broadest sense, regardless of religion and nation, enabled Montenegrin society to build itself as a civic, thus valorising the richness of diversity that afflicts it.

On the occasion of Memorial Day of the civiL victims of the wars conducted in the former Yugoslavia between 1991-2001, the delegation of Montenegrin government, composed of the Deputy Prime Minister for Political System, Internal and Foreign Policy and Minister of Justice Zoran Pazin and the Minister without Portfolio Marija Vucinovic, laid flowers at the memorial in the park „Pobrezje'' in Podgorica.
